About You:

You have a minimum 5-7 year track record of direct sales selling various types of equipment to end users and through distribution in one of the following areas: food service, distribution, food, pharmaceutical, or warehousing. You must have significant equipment sales experience with an OEM, Distributor, or Agent selling to decision-makers in a related field. Also,

  • You are at the top of your game, an 'A' player, a professional sales 'hunter', someone with guts, tenacity, a self-starter, money-motivated, goal-oriented, comfortable talking to prospects about their business needs, and possess a “can do attitude” regarding sales and success. These intangibles, coupled with excellent communication skills and the ability to follow up with a sense of urgency, have made you successful in your career to date.
  • You’ve successfully sold EQUIPMENT OR MACHINERY in a highly competitive market with a longer sales cycle (3-6 months) where your product isn’t necessarily the “cheapest.” You also excel at finding new opportunities and closing business in a competitive market while building and maintaining those relationships. Based on the size and diversity of the market, Bi-lingual language skills could be a plus.
  • You have called on and sold a variety of decision-makers, from owners to operations managers to maintenance managers to production managers to safety and occasionally purchasing. You are effective in calling on and selling various levels in an organization.
  • To qualify for our position, you should be a self-starter, money-motivated, goal-oriented, and passionate about sales and your success. You excel at selling value, not price, while being a problem solver to your prospects and customers.

THE KEY ACTIVITIES-

  • Identify and evaluate all Territory-specific business customers, locations, and opportunities.
  • Personal Selling to end users and meeting annual sales and margin requirements.
  • Cultivate and manage key relationships with customers, agents, and suppliers.

You will be selling our recognized Equipment and Material Handling products to our house list of accounts and new prospects that are receptive to productivity improvements and eager to invest in our equipment which offers a return on investment in less than six months. We are looking for a salesperson who has developed and demonstrated a talent and history for cold calling on end users like Operations executives in the material handling & shipping areas while also building a solid business book in your previous sales positions. You have a successful background in building a territory where call frequency is needed to do the business & qualify accounts while building a relationship. Ability to prospect, qualify, and open new versions directly. Excellent phone and appointment-setting skills are a must. There is also minimal travel in the local territory and occasional overnight travel to critical accounts.

You also are experienced and know how to upsell and cross-sell “wide and deep” to these industrial accounts. In addition, you’re organized, time efficient, and know computer programs and CRM systems well.
